TORONTO, May 30, 2023 - Today, Gage Owner and Strategic Lead Marlo Taylor was awarded the 2023 PR Professional of the Year Award by the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).

The PR Professional of the Year Award is one of CPRS's most prestigious awards and goes to an individual who leads to the advancement and betterment of the public relations practice at large through their exceptional involvement in the promotion and practice of public relations themselves.

The official presentation of the award was made at CPRS's annual Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) Awards Ceremony which celebrates the year's top public relations and communications people, programs and campaigns. The sold out ceremony took place at The Carlu in downtown Toronto and included a total of 118 ACE awards being presented.

As part of its presentation of the 2023 PR Professional of Year Award, the CPRS awards committee noted that among other standout qualities, Marlo "leads with poise and grace in the face of conflict and crisis," "she is calm and patient with staff and clients," and "she takes extra time to ensure her team understands the 'why' behind every project". After receiving her award, Marlo addressed the attendees expressing her gratitude to CPRS for the recognition, to those "co-conspirators" who nominated her for the award, and to the many mentors she has been blessed to have had over the course of her career. Marlo also stressed how she "loves being a communicator with [her] whole heart" and acknowledged her "amazing tribe" of family and friends who was able to join her this evening.

Marlo adds this recognition to her previous ACE, Golden Quill and Guinness World Record awards. When asked where she hopes to go from here, she nodded towards the ACE Awards table, smiled and admitted, "I hope there is bunch more of those in Gage's future."
